Frame by Frame Version
This is our frame by frame version of the Tighten Up by the The Black Keys and was edited by myself and Danny.
I feel that the music video was produced well, in terms of that you could see some of the similarities when looking back at the original music video, such as the variation of shots and expressions of the characters. As for the location we were originally going to shoot at a playground but due to it raining it became unsuitable for filming so we had to arrange a place inside to film.
The camerawork of the video in comparison to the original was very similar I felt in the shots although the location is different to what we planned, which affected how we worked as there was less space where we were filming. I think that some shots matched the timing of the video although the pace of the clips that we filmed were a little out of sync, and they felt a bit slower and when comparing it to the original video.
For the editing part it was quite difficult as we had to match the seconds and length of the clips to the video and checking each time intervals when the next scene comes in. We also tried to speed up some of the clips in order to get it close as possible to the original video which resulted in the scene to be sloppy and not consistent with the other parts of the video.
In conclusion I feel that the music video was successful in terms that it showed very similar comparisons to the original, although the location and the timing wasn't exactly the same it showed some elelments from it. Overall I felt that the group did well in the production and the final outcome.

The Black Keys - Tighten Up
This is the music video that the group decided to do our frame by frame task in which we will reproduce a minute of the video using similar shots, one reason why we chose this was because it included a variety of shots that would help us practice camera work and editing for our music video.
The section we will be trying to replicate/film is the last minute of the music video starting around when the band members see a women flirting to them and then they react by trying to impress her.
Postmodernism has many different areas, such as intertextuality which is when one media text references another, an example of this is "The Death Set - They Come to Get us".
This music video references a lot of characters from different places, for example at the beginning of the video it references the film "Back to the Future" of the scene where Marty plays loud music into the ears of this father, but in this case he is playing it to the artist of the song.
You can also see in one of the clips the heads of Batman, Bugs Bunny, Spider man, Marge Simpson, Aliens, and a Lego man.
In a different part of the music video you see the Star Trek space ship, Godzilla and Tie-Fighters from Star Wars. There are also Video Game references like Mario, Ryu from Street Fighter and King Kong.
Homage - Is a video tribute to the original video.
Pistiche - Is where the Artistic work that is in a style that imitates the original work.
Bricolage - A Bricoage is a mixing up or different gernes and styles.
Michel Maffesoli
Michel Maffesoli, a French Socialist had a theory called Urban Tribes which were young people who formed in small, fluid groups and shared common interests in urban areas.
Gamers
I feel that the most suitable tribe for me are Gamers, which is within the Alternatives. Gamers are find their online profiles more important than real-world socialising, they have an electric and influential taste in games, music and films, but not for fashion.
This describes me to a certain extent due to the face that I have interests in video games, however I do not find that my online profiles are more important than real-world socialising. Then again for many people some of the Tribes will not perfectly fit them seeing as every individual is different, although I find that the tribe Gamers is very brief and doesn't have as much information compared to the other tribes.
As for how my tribe consumes music the genre of music it seems that the common preference is electrical music such as electronic and rock. Personally my music tastes is quite varied as I enjoy all sorts of music, although I don't listen to music as often as others and I am not really mainstream as in i do not know many names of sings however I may recognise them.
Shooting Schedule
We will be filming on this Thursday, as for the order we will be filming in we will do it in the order of the scene that we are doing, but we we film the Women sequence last as it will be more consistent.
Mise en Scene
The location of the filming will be in a playground not far from the college, which is a similar place to the real music video.

---Update---
We couldn't film today as it was pouring outside with rain and we decided to film on Monday instead, unfortunately it was also raining on that day so we had a chage of plans and filmed inside the college because we had to finish the task.
Evaluation
This is a Lip Sync Music Video "All Star" by Smash Mouth. I filmed most of the scenes and this is my edited version of it.
Most of the lip syncing in this video matches the time of the lyrics with some minor exceptions, such as early in the clip when Ben was walking up the stairs and then it cuts to a shot of both Danny and Ben. The timing of the lip syncing was a bit off although I am unsure of if it was my mistake of misplacing the clip or that the actors sung the lyrics a little too fast.
As for the editing of the clip it was a little difficult at times to adjust the clips to match both the lyrics and clip as some of the scenes lip syncing wasn't clear enough to what they were singing. There is also a specific part of the Video where one of the actors jump a little with the lip syncing, but the rest of the lip sync was fine.
As for the Mise en Scene we tried to film in many different places to ensure there was a variety of shots that we could use, because in pop music videos the scenes change quite often.
Overall the Music Video itself is reasonable in my opinion and the clips and lip syncing match to the rhythm of the song. In future productions I think it is important also that the actors/actresses will need to learn the lyrics to the song which will decrease bad lip syncing as it is quite difficult. Finally by completing this task I feel that it has helped me understand what it is like to edit Music Video.

Equilibrium
The narrative begins with the artist sitting in what appears to be a cafe/restaurant alone holding a cup, he seems deep in thought about his life and quite relaxed.
Disruption of Equilibrium
We then see the artist lying on the pavement as he sings the main chorus of the song this shows that the artist seems slightly troubled
Recognition of the Disruption
The artist is then seen walking in the streets looking slight depressed and lonely but we can also see that there is much on his mind, as he is about to cross the road we see him lying on the road.
Attempt to Restore the Disruption
The artist is on an escalator moving up, this indicates that the artist is going on a journey to solve his problems, we then see him lying on the top whilst people walk pass him, this is followed by a shot of the train in the tube leaving and then him lying inside the pathway of the train.
Equilibrium Restored
We see in the final clip that the artist is lying on his bed, showing that after his journey he has finally returned home, however he still seems to be deep in thought. In this final clip it could also suggest that the artist never left and that all along he was in his room imagining his journey around places and forgetting about the world.
